MOOCs and Museums

There is much to be said about the MOOC movement as a disruptor of higher education.  Whether such a model can be all things to education remains to be seen.  However, the potential of digital learning environments coalescing around a topic is not unique to education, but could be unique to a manner in which we link educational opportunities with societal structures such as libraries, governments and museums.

I will be speaking on this subject at two upcoming conferences:

Openness in Education – Park City, UT, November 5-8 (I am on November 8)

Museum Computer Network – Montreal, Quebec, Canada – November 20-23, 2013 (I am on November 23).

I hope to see you there!
